Today was the start of NYC fashion week. I follow a lot designers and fashion websites on twitter and they have been tweeting fashion week updates all day. The BCBG Max Azria show was today and there were several pieces with one of the hottest spring trends – colorblock pieces. (The two pictures above were posted on twitter by BCBG Max Azria)
Colorblock outfits can be dresses, shirts, skirts with blocks of different colors or you can create your own colorblock outfit like Hilary Swank (from People Style Watch see the picture below). The People Style Watch March issue includes the top ten spring trends and colorblock pieces is number one on the list. There are colorblock accessories as well as clothing. Check out the pieces next to the picture of Hilary Swank. This issue has pictures of pieces from DKNY, Prada, BCBG Max Azria, JC Penny, and Kenneth Cole but I’m sure you can go to your favorite store or designer and find a piece that you like.
